Our very own take on the classic recipe, instead of minced meat, uses large, slow cooked diced beef to really pack a hearty mouthful. We also use our good friend, and Lakeland Food Park’s very own Rinaldo’s Roast Coffee alongside dark, notes of cocoa to give this pie a rich depth and luxuriousness that’s sure to make anyone’s mouth water!
The bold flavours of this Chilli Con Carne recipe are all encased in our handmade, hand-crimped butter and lard pastry. A feast for the senses, we slow roast our beef for four hours until so tender it simply falls apart, before adding it to our rich chilli sauce using tomatoes, paprika, cumin and a sprinkling of cocoa for an extra depth.
This pie is marked with 'cut cross' & sprinkling of paprika to identify it.
